William Chan

William Chan is currently the Head of Foundation & Community of Y.L. Yang Foundation. The Foundation is committed to providing charitable programs in innovative learning, sustainability education and child health for underprivileged children in China, Hong Kong and Vietnam.  

In addition, William serves as the Secretary-General of Integral Institute - a non-profit organization that serves as a hub and research platform to explore and deliberate sustainability at personal, institutional, and societal levels.  

Since his graduation, William continued to pursue professional training at the Juris Doctor Programme and was committed to working for and with young people. He was appointed as a member to various public advisory committees and had co-founded numerous charitable youth organizations and initiated inspiring educational and developmental projects for students, youth and the community. With his life-long dedication to serving our youth, William was appointed by the HKSAR Government as the youngest member in Commission on Youth and later was elected at the Glocal Youth Parliament by the World Bank as a Steering Committee member. Later, he was awarded the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in recognition of his contribution to youth services.  At present, he is serving as an appointed member of Administrative Appeal Board and Chiropractor Council, a board member of Aim High Music Foundation and an advisor of 21C@JC and Our Hong Kong Foundation. His focus is to serve students and youth, especially the underprivileged, through advocacy of education for good, social innovation and health and wellbeing.
