Edgar Tung

Edgar Tung is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tessellation Group. He is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of solid general management experience in different industries, including technology, quality assurance as well as food and beverage retailing.

Prior to establishing Tessellation, Mr. Tung was the CEO at Esquel Group, one of the world's leading apparel and knowledge-based innovation companies. Early on in his career, he founded an Internet start-up powering performance-based online marketing in Greater China, designed and structured equity derivatives products at the Jardine Fleming Group, and coordinated the design and launch of Hong Kong’s Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) System as an Administrative Officer of the Hong Kong Government.

Mr. Tung is the founding Chairman of the Youth Arch Foundation that aims at identifying and developing young leaders. He also chairs the supervisory committee of the Youth Arch Trust and sits on the Board of the Y.L. Yang Foundation. Edgar is also an Aspen China Fellow, an agenda contributor of the World Economic Forum focusing on Advanced Manufacturing and Production, and a member of the Advisory Board of the HKMA Institute of Advanced Management Development.  

A native mainland Chinese grown up in Hong Kong, Mr. Tung graduated from the Imperial College, London with a Bachelor of Engineering (Computing) degree and obtained his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
